The THOMAS Recruitment Group are recruiting on behalf of an Automotive Company in Birmingham. Our client is seeking a Toolmaker/CNC Machinist to join their team.
You will be responsible for the repair, manufacture and modification of metal forming tools, jigs and fixtures for use in a varied and busy manufacturing facility.
Hours (38 Hours a week)
Monday to Thursday - 06:00-14:00 & 14:00- 22:00
Friday - 06:00-12:00 & 12:00- 18:00
Key Responsibilities
* Production of precision components that meet required specifications in the agreed timelines
* Safe operation of machines, tools and equipment
* Programming CNC machine tools with data taken from technical drawings
* Planning the most efficient order of machine operations for each job
* Checking that work meets quality and technical standards
* Supervising and coaching our tool room apprentices
